In 2025 Crowdstacker members lent just under £184,000 in return for 17% p.a. interest, for a project near Stansted in Essex.

The developer had purchased a plot of land in a small village, and planned to build four new houses. The aim is to meet the housing needs of the local community, including those working at the nearby airport, families, and those who commute into London.

The four homes will include garages and gardens, and the entire new estate will be centred around a cul-de-sac.
